Chick and Nerdy

Hi lovely readers,

I am sharing my outfit for an activity a had a few days ago. The activity was from my university, recognition for students in the Honor Roll. So it could be said I am a bit of a nerd :p, but who says nerds can't have style. For this activity I am all decked out in BCBG, shoes are BCBGeneration and the dress if from BCBGMaxazria. I curled my hair and as always, makeup was minimal. Hope you enjoy the look!

Fancy Outfit!

Though I used some pieces that may be a bit costly for some people, the jumpsuit is really affordable and with the right accessories it can look as if it was a $1,000 piece :P. So remember it has nothing to do with the price, it has to deal with how you wear it. And my little secret is: CONFIDENCE! My best accessory! Hope you enjoy! LBD- The Little Black Dress

Hello,

For today's post I want to talk about one article of clothing that is a MUST have in the closet; and that article is LBD (Little Black Dress). A LBD is described as an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply and often quite short. Fashion historians ascribe the origins of the little black dress to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel and Jean Patou intended to be long-lasting, versatile, affordable, accessible to the widest market possible and in a neutral color. After giving this little background, I want to say that although it may be a cliché, the truth is that once you find that perfect LBD it WILL take you anywhere. It could be dressed up or down, depending on shoes and accessories. Having this in mind,   I decided to give myself a little homework to help you readers, so there are two pictures of two black dresses I have (though I don't think any of them are my LBD) and a couple of other inspirations. Both dresses are very simple and demure front, yet a little bit of a twist on the back by showing some skin. The best part is that with a cute blazer it can become a more serious look.

    

Simple, chic outfit!

Hey readers,

It's been a little while but here is the outfit of the week :). The inspiration for this weeks outfit was simple, chic. This was accomplished with an asymmetrical skirt and a top embroidered with pearls. The outfit has two of the HOT trends of the movement which are the asymmetrical skirts or shorts and pearls which are the accessories to wear this summer. I also used baby blue as the pop of color because, along side neons, pastel colors are the colors since spring and for summer. With that said, makeup is kept minimal and simple. Just a simple, refreshing, and very chic look for summer :). Hope you enjoy!

Last Night OOTD

Hey fashionistas,

 Today I wanted to present yesterday's outfit of the day. I was celebrating a huge win, being president in the organization I participate :), so a couple of friends and I decided to go out. And so I decided that I wanted to get a bit dressed up. The outfit consisted of: (1) a dark blue jegging, (2) a simple white top, (3) a black blazer, (4) black high heel sandals, (5) a multicolor tassel necklace, and (6) a black clutch. I added my Michael Kors watch and my Pandora ring as simple accessories. What I love about an outfit like this is that you can play a lot with it. You can change the color of the blazer, the high heels, or the purse. You can use statement jewelry instead of simple jewelry. There are endless possibilities to create with as outfit like this.
