Everyday Black Dress

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to announce that Nordstrom is opening here in Puerto Rico and I get to be a part of the team as a Sales Person for Salon Shoes (DESIGNER SHOES!!)! I am beyond ecstatic and I hope to keep you guys in the know of everything that happens with the store and the latest trends they bring in the store! 

Today I am sharing this gorgeous black dress from Selfie Boutik. It is so simple and elegant with just a little touch of daring with the see-through lace in the top. Perfect for an everyday dress that can be worn with flats and changed to a night dress with heels. If you don't have your LBD (little black dress) this is a good option due to its versatility. In my particular case, I have a petite frame ( I am 5' 3") and it is the perfect length to wear to multiple activities like work. I am also on the busty side and most of the time I like to conceal that aspect and this dress does a wonderful job at that. Hope this helps and remember all the information is at the end of the post! Little Black Dress

LBD- The Little Black Dress

Hello,

For today's post I want to talk about one article of clothing that is a MUST have in the closet; and that article is LBD (Little Black Dress). A LBD is described as an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply and often quite short. Fashion historians ascribe the origins of the little black dress to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel and Jean Patou intended to be long-lasting, versatile, affordable, accessible to the widest market possible and in a neutral color. After giving this little background, I want to say that although it may be a cliché, the truth is that once you find that perfect LBD it WILL take you anywhere. It could be dressed up or down, depending on shoes and accessories. Having this in mind,   I decided to give myself a little homework to help you readers, so there are two pictures of two black dresses I have (though I don't think any of them are my LBD) and a couple of other inspirations. Hope this helps you get inspiration! :)

Both dresses are very simple and demure front, yet a little bit of a twist on the back by showing some skin. The best part is that with a cute blazer it can become a more serious look.
