Boho Chic Valentine's

Valentine's Red!

Happy month of love and friendship readers,

Today's post is an inspiration for that valentine's day outfit we desperately search for. Because it is Valentine's, most choose red as the go to color to dress up for dates and activities yet I feel some other colors are left out. So here is a little secret: can't find the perfect red outfit? Why not try a white dress with red accessories or a pink outfit with white accessories? The outfit below is for those fun, flirty people that enjoy the not so traditional route in fashion. This everyday outfit can be turned into a formal, evening look by changing the top or wear as is for a fun and different feel. Versatile pants!

Bonjour followers:

In today's post I want to share with you 1 of my closets secret.  And that is the versatile pant! In the picture below you will see me wearing a pair of navy pants that I got from the "work" area at Macy's. Originally I was looking for outfits for my internship last summer, but after I was done I was left with work clothes I did not have much use for. Hence I did what any fashionista would do, I played dress up in my closet :p. Many combinations later, it occurred to me that the pants don't necessarily have to be used in the serious, work environment, but could be used as an everyday outfit. Here I paired the pants with a white, crop top from Forever 21, minimal accessories, sleek hair, and Tahari neutral sandals for a casual day out outfit! (and to add a bit of color a pink lipstick)

Just remember, as fashionistas we are inclined to buy the latest trend and what we see in a specific section that we are used to shopping in. But there are many possibilities all around, especially in department stores. The important thing is that you see the potential of the article of clothing you buy and that you feel confortable in it.

Raspberry Fun

Hola fashionista,

I am really exited for spring to come! The new collections are amazing and everything just gets so bright and colorful. And with spring in color I share with you my outfit. It is a basic, wear everyday outfit. It consists of a tank top in a raspberry like color, paired with ripped jeans from American Eagle (the jeans come ripped, but it's very easy to make your own pair of ripped jeans), a pop of green for sandals and to give it a different look I curled my hair. And as usual minimal makeup. What I love about this outfit is that with a change of shoe, accessories, and a touch up of the makeup, u have a fun going out outfit. Hope you enjoy and star getting exited for spring!

Pop of Orange

Hi readers,

I wanted to share with you the latest trends for spring from Resort 2015. One of the fun things about this collection is that it's focused on neon colors and lots of bright colors to wear. This article from Elle summarizes the top 9 trends to watch out for. That is why in today's post I am wearing jeans from OldNavy and an orange top from BarIII. This orange is not neon but it is very bright just the color to start looking forward to spring. Hope you enjoy!
